The Soccer Academy Experience (SAE) is a 12-month online elite performance programme, designed to make you stronger, faster, and more explosive on the pitch. Crafted by elite-level performance coaches, this programme mirrors the physical training of top academies, helping you move better, accelerate quicker, turn sharper, jump higher, and last longer in games.
Shayne Murphy is a highly accomplished performance coach with over 15 years of experience in elite football, collaborating with some of the most prestigious clubs and organisations in the sport.
He graduated with First Class Honours in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick and earned a Master’s degree from UCLan before embarking on a dynamic career in professional sports.
His career began with Cardiff City FC, UK Athletics, and Blackburn Rovers under Sam Allardyce. He then transitioned to Liverpool FC Academy, where he played a key role in the athletic development of future stars such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Wilson.
Following this, Shayne spent seven years at Manchester City, working across all age groups—from U12s to the U21 Elite Development Squad—helping nurture talents like Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho, and Brahim Diazinto the stars they are today.
Shayne’s tenure at Manchester City also included: Pre-season tours with Pep Guardiola’s first team
Contributions to the Women’s First Team
Shayne later founded SDM Performance, a high-performance consultancy, through which he collaborates with elite athletes and organisations worldwide. His work has spanned across: MLS with New York City FC
Lommel FC in Belgium
Indian Cricket
Aiglon College in Switzerland
In the leadership space, Shayne has worked with leading organisations like Accenture and Castle International.
Currently, Shayne serves as a high-performance consultant for a global football organisation, overseeing elite footballers and the Scottish National Team, contributing to their historic qualifications for Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
With a wealth of experience in athletic development, Francis Marry has spent the last four years working alongside Shayne, contributing to various high-performance projects. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the Institute of Technology Carlow.
After graduating, Francis spent two years at Dundalk FC, working with U14-U17 academy players. As the lead athletic development coach, he played a key role in preparing players for first-team football, with several progressing to the senior squad during his tenure.
His expertise also took him to Lagos, Nigeria, where he worked on an LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) and Talent Identification project, collaborating with some of the most respected figures in Nigerian football. Here, he assessed physical performance and identified young talents with the physical attributes required for professional football.
Over the past three years, Francis has established himself as an independent performance coach, founding Lodestone Health & Performance, a leading physical development facility in Ireland. Through this, he has worked closely with:
✔ Club football teams and individual players
✔ Elite Gaelic footballers
✔ Ironman competitors
✔ Ultramarathon runners
✔ Athletes from a range of high-performance sports
With a deep understanding of athletic performance and physical development, Francis continues to help athletes reach their full potential, whether on the football pitch or in endurance and strength-based sports.

I have worked at Liverpool FC and Manchester City academies, helping develop top talents such as Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz, and Jadon Sancho. This programme is based on elite training principles, ensuring accessibility without requiring expensive equipment.
The programme is divided into progressive phases, updating every 4, 6, and 12 weeks.
✔ Training becomes more intense and challenging as you progress
✔ Workouts are designed to complement your football schedule
✔ A mix of strength, agility, endurance, and recovery strategies
While some players feel improvements within 6 to 8 weeks, the best results come from committing to the full 12 months. Development takes time—this programme builds a foundation for long-term success.
This programme covers all key areas needed to perform at a higher level in football:
✔ Strength & Power – Develops explosiveness, speed, and physical dominance
✔ Speed & Agility – Improves acceleration, quick direction changes, and reaction time
✔ Conditioning & Endurance – Helps you perform at a high intensity for longer
✔ Flexibility, Balance & Coordination – Reduces injury risk and improves efficiency
✔ Recovery Strategies – Teaches how to recover properly and avoid burnout
✔ Weekly Educational Videos – Covers nutrition, mindset, recovery, and goal setting
This programme provides a true academy-level training experience, based on what elite youth players are taught at professional clubs.
The programme provides a structured plan, designed to fit around your football schedule.
✔ Matches are usually on weekends, so training is adjusted accordingly
✔ Sessions progress every 4-6 weeks to ensure continuous development

You do not need a gym. The programme can be followed at home, on a pitch, or in a park.

For conditioning, training on grass with boots is preferred, but a treadmill can be used if necessary.
